As to getting out your books, that sucks and I'm sorry to hear it.The Wasphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08636805818054637966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008217764991774516.post-80325643751401196592017-03-12T10:01:02.537-04:002017-03-12T10:01:02.537-04:00Damn, this post was quite a trip down memory lane ...Damn, this post was quite a trip down memory lane for me. The Wandor series, John Dalmas, Edmond Hamilton, et al. I had almost forgotten some of those authors and books.
Some good, some not so good, but they all had a place in my reading rotation from the late 60's up to the early 80's.
I almost thought about going up to the attic to check out the several boxes I have up there. But then I remembered that I have to empty half a closet and set up a ladder so that I can squeeze through the hatch that provides the only access to my attic.
At which point I reconsidered the idea. He also loved David Eddings. I've got a bookcase full of Belgariads and Malloreons and what have you up in my sister's attic. I alwayls like the Hiero Desteen books, but it's been a very long time. John Fultz just said he couldn't finish the first one and Jeffro felt seriously let down by it too.The Wasphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08636805818054637966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008217764991774516.post-59481584147946664292017-03-09T19:27:04.060-05:002017-03-09T19:27:04.060-05:00I've always wanted to give Lanier's novels...I've always wanted to give Lanier's novels a try. I thought the Brigadier Ffellowes short stories didn't live up to the hype, but I would give them another try.

I was disappointed in The Yngling and didn't try the sequels.

I've not read any of the others, but Vance's Alastor novels are something I want to try.
